Contents

Course Description

Electronics Technology 1 is a class that can be taken at any level Frosh-Senior. This class is geared towards the understanding of basic electrical theory, analog electronics, and digital electronics.

Projects

Projects and lab work make up a major portion of this class. Students complete 4 independent projects throughout the year. The first project each student completes is the "Tingler Kit"

2nd, 3rd, and 4th quarter, the student must choose a project on their own. These range from simple, to very complex so that the student can tailor the experience to the amount of challenge that they desire.

Articulation

Electronics Technology has articulation with Harper College. What this means is that if a student gets a B or better in T174 Electronics Technology 1, and they take the second level course at Harper, they get 3 credit hours for completion of T174. The second year course is typically offered during the year, and during the summer, so a student could have 6 college credit hours before even leaving high school!
